(AP) ? Arraignment has been postponed for a 23-year-old Iraq war veteran on charges he stabbed to death four California homeless men in a killing spree.

Itzcoatl Ocampo appeared in a courtroom Wednesday, but his arraignment was put off until Feb 17 at the request of his attorney.

He's being held without bail.

Ocampo is charged with four counts of murder. Prosecutors say he stalked and stabbed his victims dozens of times.

The killings occurred between late December and last week, when witnesses of the latest killing chased Ocampo and he was arrested.
